Since first creating our business, taking care of the environment and encouraging environmental sustainability has been at the heart of all that we do. You don’t need to recycles thousands of tons a month like we do to make a big impact on protecting our natural resources. We’ve rounded up a few actions you can take to protect our earth for many generations to come.

Participate in Community Clean Ups

As a company that has been involved in countless community clean ups, we highly endorse everyone to participate in a clean up near you! Check online to see if there is a regular clean up scheduled and if not, consider creating one yourself! Not only is this a great way to remove non-degradable materials from the environment, it’s also a great way to develop relationships with your fellow community member.

Recycle Your Refrigerator

Are you finally ready to chuck that old refrigerator? Take the concerted step to recycle it! Recycling just one refrigerator saves the energy equivalent of a whopping 36 gallons of gasoline!

Carpool to Work or School

Since greenhouse gases are the primary emissions that come from motor vehicles, taking the effort to carpool to work or school has a direct impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. To top it off, you’ll have some company on the drive in!

Plant a Garden

Growing your own vegetables, fruits, and herbs is an ecological choice that can also have a positive impact on your grocery bill. You don’t need to have a large plot of land to grow a personal garden. Plenty of aspiring urban farmers have started with a small indoor or patio herb garden and expanded from there.

The four suggestions we have outlined above represent four impactful actions any individual can take to lessen their impact on our limited resources! What are you doing to protect our planet?
